Doesn't matter, it is still rarer than a Ferrari there, so that means you will look like a shark hunting subcompact cars.
Z51 Corvette, costs as much as a GT-R Nismo, in Japan.

Well, American car makers, mostly offer muscle cars and SUV's in Japan, and a B-segment entry, to actually sell some cars.

VW , on the other hands, sells most of its cars, in Japan. Why? They cared enough to build brand recognition there, and now the Germans are selling to the Japanese, a lot more cars than the Americans. And they use the JDM, as a validation market. If the Japanese buy their cars, other Asians will buy them, too.

The GTR still isn't common there, is it?
And I wasn't complaining or anything, just curious.

It is more common than a Corvette or Camaro and it has a huge fallowing and fan base.
GT-R meetings are quite popular.
However, the Japanese economy is not booming like it was in the 80's, and the R35 costs a lot more, than previous models.
It would've been more popular if it wasn't for the financial factor, as it still is the most powerful Japanese road car, in production today.
Even so, you can see people who make reasonable amounts of money, but are not really wealthy, cutting down their expenses, just to own a piece of the GT-R legend, even if it is an older model.
